More reposting!

Title: Shook-Up World
Pairing/Prompt: Frank/Gerard - crossdressing (more on the lifestyle side, not one-time kink)
Rating: R
Word Count: 5054
Warnings: mentions of violence, criminal activity, and homophobia
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] no_tags fic exchange in 2011. Part of this is set in 1924 and part in 1932, and I suspect it's part of a much longer story I'm still figuring out. Title from the song "Lola" by The Kinks. Many thanks to the people who looked it over for me!

Hello! This is nothing new, just me realizing I have some stories posted in comms that I never reposted here and maybe I should do that.

Title: Lived Those Nights Like We Were Dying
Pairing/Prompt: Frank/Gerard, pilots
Rating: R
Warnings: WWII AU, mentions of violence/destruction
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] no_tags fic exchange in 2010. Title stolen from the Gaslight Anthem, inspiration taken from this picture.

Take a Picture, It'll Last Longer
Pairing(s): Frank/Gerard
Rating: R
Word Count: 3404
Summary: A classic tale of boy meets boy, boy photographs boy naked, boy and boy hook up afterward.

...Wait, that's not a classic tale? Dang.

Author's Notes: Hey look I finished another kink bingo fic! From the card I got last year. Shortly after everyone started getting their cards for this year. My timing is awesome! Anyway, it's for the "film/photography" prompt, and pretty different from the story I originally had in mind for that prompt, but that one went nowhere and this one went somewhere, so. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cool_rain_kiss for betaing!

Jepha's got the flu and there's a deadline to make, so there's a new model coming in on short notice. )

So hey! About a million years ago (i.e. Thanksgiving) when I asked for fic prompts, [livejournal.com profile] theopteryx and [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster asked me for some historical backstory for I Was Your Silver Lining. Which I was excited about, but also, as it turns out, super intimidated about writing in someone else's fic universe.

Also, I am no stranger to either writer's block or procrastination. Also I suck.

But! A while ago it occurred to me that Allison and B-Rex have birthdays pretty close together! And I never filled that prompt! And six months later is better than never!

So here is about 1500 words of that, which you don't strictly need to have read their fic for but this will probably make more sense if you do, and which is in no way as awesome as the fic, but contains awkwardness and first kisses. Happy birthday and early birthday, you guys, you're both great and I'm lucky to know you. ♥

And The Autumn Moon Is Bright
Pairing(s): Frank/Gerard
Rating: R
Warnings: werewolves, violence, mild d/s themes
Word Count: 9996
Summary: "So...what, am I a werewolf now?"
Author's Notes: This is for [livejournal.com profile] spuzz, who won a fic from me in the [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti auction. It's also more OTP fluff than the warnings may make it sound. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] strobelighted for betaing!

'Yeah, basically, we're fucked.' Frank straightens up, wiping his hands on a rag and glaring down at the engine. )

Creep In Like a Whisper
Pairing(s): Frank/Gerard
Rating: R
Warnings: Slavefic, attempted sexual assault, frequent mention of past physical and sexual abuse.
Word Count: 15,175
Prompt: 403: Gerard and Mikey are wealthy land-owners, and Frank is a newly-attained slave with trust issues. They show him they're not like typical masters.
Author's Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] bandom_hc. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster and [livejournal.com profile] cool_rain_kiss for betaing!

Like many slaves, Frank has no memory of a life without slavery; he had either been born into captivity or taken in early childhood. )

Burn
Pairing(s): Frank/Gerard
Rating/Warnings: NC-17, language, explicit sex. Written for the Kink Bingo prompt "double penetration (one hole)".
Word Count: 1272
Summary: Frank's never made a secret of the fact that he's kind of a size queen.
Author's Notes: So a while ago, I signed up for Kink Bingo. If you're familiar with my fic you probably know that porn isn't usually my main focus--I like writing long, plotty stories that have one or two sex scenes in them, and I don't generally write pure smut. So signing on to write multiple kink fics seemed like a good way to exercise my porn-writing muscles!

...And you see how well that's going, given that this is the first one I've actually finished. But here it is! There is no plot to speak of, just sex. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bexless for betaing!

A World So Small

Band(s): My Chemical Romance
Pairing(s): Frank/Gerard
Word Count: 30,943
Rating/Warnings: R (contains sex, morbid themes, and Wikipedia-researched history)
Summary: Victorian AU. When Frank, a sickly young man, is advised by his doctors to leave London for the country, he makes arrangements to stay with his friend Michael, who just so happens to be in possession of a large, old, and somewhat creepy manor house. What Frank has no idea of at the time is that Michael has an older brother, whose presence in the house he conceals. Gerard is an eccentric recluse who spends most of his time hiding in the attic and avoiding any kind of interaction with people, but he finds himself fascinated with Frank, who in turn realizes that the house has secrets, and becomes determined to uncover them. When he finally does discover Gerard, their first meeting is only the beginning of their story.
Notes: Hey, look, I wrote a historical AU! I'm sure you're all shocked. On the list of "Things I've written that are incredibly self-indulgent", this one ranks pretty high--it started off as me wanting to play around with Gothic romance tropes, and ended up a little bit Jane Eyre and a little bit Secret Garden, only minus all the things that make those classic works of literature and plus a lot of Frank and Gerard being loser weirdos in love. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster and [livejournal.com profile] strobelighted for beta-ing, and, as always, to everyone who, for whatever reason, continues to encourage me to write down all the ridiculous stuff I come up with. I hope it's as fun to read as it was to write.

Standard disclaimers apply: these representations of real people are amazingly fictional and not for profit, I should in no way be mistaken for an expert on the Victorian era, and I think all the books mentioned are in the public domain, but if any of them aren't, they belong to their respective authors' estates, not me. The title comes from the song "Now Three" by Vienna Teng.

I received two pieces of awesome art, both by [livejournal.com profile] allyndra.

'Frank reads' )

'Gerard in moonlight' )

In conclusion: these are both fantastic and you should all tell [livejournal.com profile] allyndra how fantastic they are.

I was lucky enough to get two fanmixes this year, and I adore them both. It's always amazing to me when someone can take something I wrote and find a song I've never heard before that fits it perfectly, and both my mixes are full of examples of that. Thanks so much to both my mixers! ♥

So I know everyone who's into bandom fic is off reading [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang fic (and if you're not, what are you waiting for? Go read some big bangs!), but before I post my own, here's some stuff I wrote for a meme over in my other journal.

THE MEME: Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

RESULTS:

Professor/TA!verse, 5 years later. )

Vaguely Edwardian AU, 15 years earlier. )

Vaguely Edwardian AU, 10 years later. )

Period Crossdressing, 1 year later. )

And then I felt bad about the angstiness of the last one, so [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster and I caplocked them a happy ending and some kids. :D? )

HEY, REMEMBER A MILLION YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS WRITING A VAMPIRE AU?

(Note so that no one gets their hopes up: this isn't a full update to the story, more just a "still alive!...sort of" status report.)

Yeah, about that...I'm honestly not sure what I want to do with Sharpest Things, at this point. Some days I start thinking about it out of nowhere and get an idea and go YES YES I AM TOTALLY GOING TO FINISH IT, and then I hit another mental roadblock and go WHO AM I KIDDING I'M NEVER GOING TO FINISH IT, and then I think about how it was my first bandom fic ever and the early chapters kind of make me cringe now, but then sometimes I still get comments from people going "IDK IF YOU'RE EVER GOING TO FINISH THIS BUT I HOPE YOU DO" and it's simultaneously guilt-inducing and touching!

So I don't know. I do want to give it some kind of an ending, which may not be the ending it was originally going to have and I still have to figure that out, but I don't want to leave the people who still want it hanging. So I guess right now I'm just saying no promises, but watch this space?

I've had the part that comes right after where I left off written and sitting on my hard drive for uh, a while? And since I'm not sure what else I'm going to write for this AU or when it's going to get written, here's that part, at least. It's just a snippet, but I know some of you out there have been wanting to know what happens next, so here it is.

(For reference, since, y'know, it's been a million years: Chapter 9.)

Gerard wakes up groggy and disoriented, with a dull ache behind his eyes. )

A Lovely Apparition
(or, The One Where Gerard's A Crossdresser in the 1790s)
Pairing(s):
Frank/Gerard
Rating: R
Warnings: Sex, mild language, possible historical inaccuracies (though I've tried to make sure there are no glaring ones)
Word Count: 21,862
Summary:
Michael didn’t seem particularly shocked when Gerard approached him with the idea, but then, Gerard had never seen his younger brother look particularly shocked at anything. He merely looked at Gerard, blinked once or twice, and repeated in a flat tone, “You want me to help you dress up like a woman.”

“It’s the stays in particular I think I’ll need help with,” Gerard told him. “Well, and buttoning the dress, and perhaps the wig.”

Author's Notes: This started out as my fic for the [livejournal.com profile] periodbandom challenge, but then I hit a nasty combination of writer's block and real-life stress. So, uh, here it is, only two and a half months late! Immeasurable thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bexless for betaing, and to various and sundry flisters for encouragement and demands that I finish it. Hope you guys like it. :D (Also, the title comes from here. Well, part of the title. I bet you can guess which.)
